Oi pessoal...
Hoje nós trazemos uma convidada super especial. A talentosa scrapper Stacy Cohen, DT da Prima, ex DT da Graphic 45 e destaque constante das revistas CK, Scrapbooking etc e muitas outras!
A Stacy tem um estilo próprio que usa sempre muitas flores, elementos shabby e também materiais alternativos como crochê, gaze, etc,

Dear All,

Today we are very happy to have a special guest designer: the talent scrapper, Stacy Cohen, DT of Prima, former Graphic 45 DT and constant star of CK and Scrapbooking etc!
She has a proper style using several flowers, shabby elements and alternative ones.
We are very happy that Stacy accepted our invitation!!!

And here, the interview ;)

1. Como e porque você começou a fazer scrapbooking?
Começei em 2005 quando as minhas filhas tinham aprox. 1 e 3 anos. Eu queria preservar todos aqueles momentos preciosos de quando elas eram bebês.
When and why you have started to scrapbook?
I started scrapping in 2005 when my girls were about 1 and 3 years old. I wanted to preserve all those precious memories of them from the time they were babies.

2. Como e qual foi o seu primeiro DT?
Meu primeiro DT foi se um site chamado EBB Creations, que não existe mais. Foi em 2006 e lembro que fiquei muito excitada por fazer parte de um DT pela primeira vez!
What/When was your first DT participation?
My first DT participation was with a site called EBB Creations, which is no longer in existence. I think it was back in 2006 or so, and I remember how excited I was to be part of a design team for the first time.

3. Qual sua recomendação para as scrapper brasileiras que desejam entrar em DT's internacionais?
Meu conselho para qualquer pessoa que queira entrar para qualquer DT é que você tenha certeza que realmente adora os produtos que irá trabalhar e não só tentar entrar em um DT só para fazer parte dele.
Se você realmente amar os produtos daquele fabricante, isso irá transparecer atarvés dos layouts que você enviar quando tentar se candidatar ao DT.
O outro conselho é para que você não leve nada para o lado pessoal. Hoje é muito competitivo entrar para qualquer DT e com tantos talentos tentando as mesmas vagas todas nós teremos um pouco de rejeição :)

What you'd recommended for Brazilian scrappers that would like to apply for international DT's?
My advice to anyone applying for DT’s is make sure that you really love the products you’ll be working with, rather than just applying for the sake of being on a team. If you truly love the products you’re working with, that will show through in your submission projects. The other bit of advice is not to take anything personally. It’s pretty competitive out there with so many talented scrappers trying for the same spots, and we’ve all had our share of rejection. :)

4. Qual é o seu material favorito? Essa é uma pergunta fácil, as flores da Prima, claro!
Whats your favorite material?
This is an easy question for me to answer . . . Prima flowers are my favorite, of course!

5. Como você começa seus layouts?
Meus layouts em geral começam na minha cabe;ca, como uma idéia. Mas frequentemente acabo um projeto e ele não se parece nada com a minha idéia inicial. Quando a minha criatividade está bloqueada eu tento me inspirar vendo revistas e galerias online. Eu posso então ver um elemento na página ou um combo de cores e deixo as minhas idéias fluirem a partir disso.
How you start your layouts?
My layouts usually start with a design idea I have in my head. Often my finished project looks nothing like what I first envisioned. Whenever I have creative blocks, I’ll look through magazines or online galleries in search of inspiration. I might see a design element or a color combo that inspires me, and then I let my own ideas flow from there.

6. Você já visitou o Brasil?
Não, mas eu adoraria poder ir algum dia!!!
Have you ever been to Brazil? Nope, but I would love to go there someday!!!

7. Quem são as scrapper que te inspiram?
Wow...existem tantas scrappers incríveis que me inspiram....muitas mesmo para mencionar todas. :)
Mas uma coisa eu notei: a maioria delas é de fora dos EUA - Brasil, Noruega, Suécia, Austrália, Filipinas, etc, etc. Uma scrapper que sempre me inspirou é a Ingvild Bolme. A atenção que ela dá a todos detalhes e os toques pessoais dela realmente sempre prendem a minha atenção.
Who are the scrappers that inspires you? Wow, there are so many amazing scrappers who inspire me . . . too many to mention. J But one thing I’ve noticed is that most of the scrappers who inspire me are from countries other than the US – Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Australia, The Philippines, etc., etc. One scrapper who really inspired me from my early days of scrapping is Ingvild Bolme. Her attention to little details and personal touches always caught my eye.

A minha dica é o paper curling. Eu uso muito essa técnicas em minhas páginas, incluindo no layout que compartilho aqui com vocês "My girl".
My “tip” is for paper curling that I use on many of my pages, including the “My Girl” layout.
E aqui o passo a passo. Here are the steps:

1. Corte o papel no tamanho que você deseja seus papers curls.
Decide how wide and long you want to make the curls, then make cuts in your paper accordingly.

2. Use o cabo de um pincel para fazer os curls. Eu gosto de alternar o comprimento e quanto aperto/enrolo cada um dos curls, para dar um ar "free" na página.
Use the handle of a paint brush to make the curls. I like to alternate the length and tightness of each curl so that there’s a nice variety on the page.

3. Aqui o "pulo do gato"...Se você deseja que seus rolinhos/curls mantenham a forma sempre, espirre um pouco de água e depois use  secador de emboss. Isso evita que os rolinhos/curls fiquem amassados ou percam a forma mesmo dentro de protetores plásticos.
If you really want the curls to maintain their shape, spritz them with just a tiny bit of water and use heat gun on them. This “sets” the paper so that the curls don’t get easily crushed, even in a page protector.
